I went to go on flight sim 2004 and my joystick doesnt work. It was working this morning when i was playing!

Open device manager (devmgmt.msc) and check if its in there.

under that theres one that says HID Compliant Game Controller

Ok, goto control panel > Game Controllers > In there you should be able to set it up, calibrate it etc.

do you have up to date drivers?
what operating system?
did you do anything since this morning? (updates, etc)
have you tried unplugging it restarting and plugging back in?

I installed a addon earlier.. for fs9

Aha, ok, goto control panel > game devices and goto Properties for it, does the + sign move in the box when you move the joystick etc.?
