I agree that the odd funny comment here and there is ok but when you have people giving nothing but unhelpful, funny comments it just isn't funny anymore because everyone is doing it and no-one is receiving the advice they want.

Having a few more moderators in busy sections that are often "spammed" would help because then they would be more people to keep it under control. I know the funny comments and humor is what keeps the forum fun but the is a line and I think over half of this forum cross it daily and it's just pointless because none of it's funny.

This is a forum full of people of all ages (mainly teens) with different views on all aspects of life (including relationships). This is what gives us the diversity of posts through out the board.

Yes some of the responses people may find rude or funny and there isn't anything wrong with being offended or finding a post humorous. It will all depend on our each individual personalities how we read a post and what we think of it.

Obviously when the posts/threads start to break the rules i.e. Abuse/harassment etc then action should and more likely will be taken.

Some of the posts in that thread you gave us an example of are maybe what the posters truly feel the original poster should do or that is what the poster would do in the original posters shoes.

In the relationships forum and many others, it boils down to whether the original poster wishes to take that advice from a post or not.

well there's gonna be more mods soon so it might help
however after reading through other sections i think the whole off topicness needs to stop. Recently in discuss anything and others forums it's just gone totally off topic by a group of people (yeah, occasionally myself)and I remember seeing a whole conversation off topic in one thread just like "oh go on msn" :S i mean really what's the point on that, more people are getting away with it and it's just making threads have no purpose at all. Fair enough if it's the relationship one like the example given because there is alot of people willing to give advice like Leah, Cyndia (i think ?) and a few other girls (obviously as boys don't have a clue ) so I don't see the problem there but when it's going off topic as in nothing to do with anything just casual chat/mocking of threads then it's not really fair on the thread starter who wants serious questions. K i just realised this has nothing to do with anything but i'm gonna agree with whoever said we need more mods to stop it
