I go on because half of the **** posted is funny and the video games section people post crazy setups and everything.

This^, alot of funny crap comes from /b/ & it's always got funny/new/imaginative stuff on there not the same junk pictures everyones seen a thousand times. as someone said anything illegal is removed by mods, its the same as this forum just a message board dedicated to random things which is mostly funny stuff.

Also, whilst /b/ isn't 4chan, and 4chan isn't /b/, 90% of all posts on the board do go to Random, so it's certainly a huge part.

/b/ has a crack team of lawyers, so shutting them down isn't the easiest thing, besides, mods usually permaban /b/tards who post child pornangraphy. And stratocaster is correct, there's nothing against the law about decipiting gore and obscenities like that, eitherwise things like Horror movies would be illegal, personally, I love /b/ and enjoy the random, it's more of a aquired taste though. Without /b/, I'm sure I'd slowly fade away as I've been an oldfag on /b/ for 5 years.
