ok, yesterday my headphones weren't working, so i messed about in the sound tab in Dxdiag and managed to get it working, but now its not working again, only playing system sounds, what have i done? i havent removed/updated any drivers since when it worked.

sorry for double post, but i think the sound stopping is something to do with me exiting a game, the sound works perfectly ingame, but after i quit all sounds (except system) stop until i restart.

ive only had it for a week, it was a clean HD apart from some programs, also, can someone help me find a C-Media USB audio device driver?
i cant seem to find one.
i have one installed but i dont think its up-to-dateMario
