It depends on the college.

My college asked for atleast 5 GCSEs with C or above. This to include Maths, English (Lit or Lang) and Science.

Other colleges will be different but most dont ask for a huge amount.

Many will also give you chances regardless of certain backfalls in grades if you are willing to work hard and depending on what you plan to take at A-Level.

For example my friend did not get the required grades for Maths and Science as she hated school and did not attend often but the college was willing to accept her to do english and art (I think).

But you must have some GCSEs. Prefferably ones in what you wish to continue.

If you go to college after GCSE then you will need atleast 5 C's and higher some ask for more, depending on their standars. For example there is a college in my town which requires atleast 6 A's

It depends on the college however you can get into college without having GCSE's if you didn’t get graders c or above and 5 of them you could Study a BTEC first diploma, which is what im taking atm which is an equivalent to 4 GCSE's.

It depends what you are looking to do at college.. ie. what level you are looking to do depends on the grades. Only one I'm certain on is if you are looking at doing A Levels then the standard college requirement is 5 GCSE grades at A* - C. Of course, it may depend on how 'elite' the college is or how popular the college is in terms of applicants etc. but usually you just need the 5 GCSE at A* -C
