The Simpsons will make the transition to high definition later this month on Fox in the US and Sky1 HD in the UK.

The long-running series is now midway through its 20th season, and the first episode to air in native 720p will go out in the States on February 15 at 8pm and in the UK on February 22 at 7pm. Titled "Take My Life, Please", the episode presents a look at how Homer's life might have turned out had he been elected class president in high school.

The episode will be the first time any Simpsons content has been made available in HD since 2007's The Simpsons Movie, which has since been released on blu-ray in 1080p.

It's only that long because of the couch scene which changes with each episode -.-

Other than that, it's more of an updated one rather than a brand new one, looks a lot better though
