They're not widgets. It's a utility called GeekTools (as far as I know it's only available for OSX). GeekTools allows you to display the output of shell commands wherever you'd like on your screen. For getting the time I have it run a time script every few seconds. For the weather I have it check my local weather website every half hour. Originally Posted by Jaysun
