Default Splitting an Ethernet cable into two.

    Hi,

    Here's the dealio.

Downstairs we have a modem, connected to a router, theres an ethernet coming out of the router going ot the downstairs computer, and theres an ehternet coming up the stairs into my room current in my pc, but i want to use two ethernets in my room, one for my pc and one for my ps3 because the wireless trips out, so i wanted to know whats the best way to concert the ethernet into two, a splitter, a hub or whatm? Also i would like a link to a page with the hub or splitter on so i can learn more about them.

Have you even checked to see if the current modem/router is wireless capable ?
If so all youd need is a cheap wireless card for the pc and use the ethernet for the game system.

Yes i have a wireless router, but i would like a wireless point upstairs aswell.

And i cant use 1 ethernet because my computer is nowhere near my PS3 so i would need a really long cable and keep unplugging it, trapesing it along my floor and plugging it in again.
