i got a macbook pro for college and its worked wonders for me, cant go wrong with it.

It depends on how much money you have, but a standard MacBook should be fine and very portable. http://store.apple.com/uk/browse/hom...ok?mco=MTE3MjA If you wait until you get to uni before you get one you can get a discount even more than their standard dtudent discount.

I believe if you go to your local Apple Store, then tell them which college you go to (and show your student ID) then you can get your discount. And I would suggest the MacBook Pro, if you're going to shell out for a Mac, may as well get the best
