I nearly got sick. I really was NOT used to the feeling.
But now I love flying, it's great

I remember feeling so excited, I was jumping along the departure hall. I remember entering the plane and thinking "Oh my goodness, I am in an ACTUAL plane for the first time!" Heh, I could not wait to take off, it was a great experience!

I was taken by surprise when we were gaining speed on the runway; I never expected it. I luckily took the seat by the window and I remember thinking how everything looked so tiny and wondered if whatever I saw was real or just a fake plasticine model of the world.

Eventually, at a level where i could only see clouds and more clouds, my excitement died down. It was a 4-hour flight and I got bored pretty quickly.

If you don't mind me asking, did you spent 12 years with out leaving Singapore? I just can't imagine 12 years with out leaving a city but I guess it's common in Singapore.

I loved my first flight, the speed was just so immense and it felt like minutes after taking off from Gatwick that we were over Brighton. Flying over Corsica and Sardinia was rather amazing, the mountains were beautiful and went on for ages. The culture change in Tunisia was good too, although just how I thought it would be, Arab cities are rather amazing.
