Default New super mario or Legend of Zelda likely for this year

I remember at E3 last year they said the Zelda and Mario teams were hard at work on new incarnations for wii and I expected them to show them this year but it seems they are likely to be releasing them too:

Admittedly it could be for DS but because of the wii's demise with "core" gamers and the fact that Reggie said to expect big things from the wii at this years E3 I think its really gotta be for wii. I am also thinking a new Super Mario is more likely at the moment because Zeldas are much longer and the Zelda team (atleast part of it) have been working on the new cellshaded DS legend of Zelda whereas there haven't been any "proper" super mario games on DS in ages.

I'm happy now though, Super Mario Galaxy is my faviroute game ever, even beating Banjo Kazooie and Tooie. Bring on E3

Didn't they say those teams were hard at work, but not what games they're working on? Maybe they're making Wii Fit 2 or something.
    Seriously.

Not specifically but those teams I believe tend to only really work on Zelda and Mario games for home consoles, Nintendo has other teams for wii fit etc.

Also last year in an interview with IGN this was said:
We stunned him with a hard-hitting follow-up: 'We don't really have a question. We just want you to make another Galaxy game.' To this, Miyamoto replied, "Leave it to me."
Sounds like little hint to me

Miyamoto recently said in an interview about wii music that new legend of zelda and super mario titles are in the works for the wii so i think you may be correct, dunno about 2009
But i guess all we can do is wait for e3 this year and hope they dont dissapoint us as much as they did last year
