Graphics card dying? :( +REP

Hi guys,

have a HP Pavilion DV6500 laptop.

Basically, when I leave the computer unattended for like.... an hour? Still plugged in and stuff, I come back and move the mouse so it's off of the black screen, like, out of hibernation or w.e, the screen fades back up but it fades all up to white, so I have to restart the laptop, when I do, it's white again.

So I have to leave it for like... half an hour switched off, and then it works fine again?!

Is it getting too hot-

My old laptop used to go into 3bit graphics and said "Graphic card errors" when it got hot if that helps?

when you leave it open it up and stand it on its side, very good ventilation
