I would lol if Kojima just popped into the Microsoft conference and yelled "MGS5" and the world went mad. Then all of a sudden it turned out to be an entirely different series like Me Good Son 5. Wait, that sounds like the work of Sony...

I'm gonna actually say, it's going to be something completely different and at the same time wonder how much work they've done in just one year since MGS4

I don't mind any other series, game or anything going multiplatform, 'cept GTA... and we know what happened, but MGS is a trademark. For all of it's terrible dialogue and bad writing, it is a cinematic masterpiece within the dodgy mess that is the gaming market. It's an absolute marvel and a shining soul of dim hope against the horde of grind that stuffs this market full.

If it goes multiplatform, it will be a terrible shame. Not only for Sony but Microsoft will have a whole new franchise on their hands - possibly. God knows what they'd do with it, but knowing them: sell it to death. Mark my words, MGS would be ruined by M$

It does look like a 5 however the creator of Metal Gear Solid mentioned that number 4 was the last. I'm guessing either he's changed his mind or the production company (Konami) is continuing it without his guidance. If it is it will be no-where near as good.

Didn't they say MGS4 was the last one, I haven't played the game but didn't Snake die or something? So I'd be suprised if they did make a MGS5.

they could just do like lost oddessy and ship with multiple disks and like a coupon for a half price 120gb hdd and then you install the 2nd disc and so on onto that and just run off the 1 disc and hdd
