I want to reformat my pc but i have loads of music & pics on here.

Can i transfer these somehow to my xbox hard drive.
Then upload them back on to my pc after ?

I don't think so... well, try it, put them all on a memory stick and import it into the USB port, and see how it goes from there, if it doesn't work then just put all your stuff on the USB stick and keep it there until you're finished with whatever it is you're doing, and then put it all back on.

I dont have a usb stick, thats why im wanting to use the harddrive on my xbox.
Its connected to my pc via ethernet aswell.

That or you could create a backup partition.

Open up, hdd,
place in computer,
Copy files over,
Wipe,
recopy over.
