[In a jail. Serena is shouting through the bars as her cellmate looks bemused]

Serena: This is ridiculous, I don’t even smoke pot!

Cellmate: That’s what they all say

Serena: Could you be quiet? I have enough going on without some crazy junkie shooting her mouth off

Cellmate: Who you callin’ crazy

Serena: IS THIS A CELL OR A TRAILER?! GET ME OUT OF HERE, NOW!

[She rattles the bars angrily]

Cellmate: And I’m the crazy one

[Serena glares at her]

Cellmate: I’m just sayin’

[She kicks the bars once more and then throws herself on the seat angrily. Cut to a grey and drab room. Serena is with her lawyer]

Serena: I didn’t have anything on me

Lawyer: If you plead guilty, you’ll get away with a fine

Serena: And then it’ll be all over the press, my father will go crazy

Lawyer: Your father wants this dealt with

Serena: Like everything else

Lawyer: He’s only ever wanted to help you

Serena: Oh so that’s why he got you to declare me temporarily insane so he could force my baby into adoption

Lawyer: Well, he does what he needs to do

Serena: As long as you’re getting the money

Lawyer: Young lady, you are 19 years old. You make think you’re old enough to deal with this but you’re not. You could get 2 years if they try and pin it on you that you’re a dealer too

Serena: There is no evidence for that

Lawyer: They’ll find it. Come on. New York socialite turns drug dealer it’ll be perfect for them

Serena: Fine, i’ll plead guilty

Lawyer: Good

Serena: On one condition

Lawyer: And what would that be?

Serena: You find out who that witness is

Lawyer: But that’s illegal

Serena: Don’t pretend that matters, I’m not an idiot

Lawyer: Very well, i’ll make a call

[An officer comes in]

Serena: I need to make a phone call

Officer: You’ve already made one this week

Lawyer: Officer, let her make the call or i’ll sue this department for detaining this lady under prison rules when she hasn’t even been to trial

Officer: One call

Lawyer: Thank you

[Serena is guided away to a phone, she dials a number. We see Danny who answers his phone]

Serena: Hi

Danny: Hey, I haven’t seen you in days, where have you been?

Serena: You don’t want to know

Danny: I’ve been worried

Serena: I’ve been in jail

Danny: JAIL?!

Serena: Someone framed me with a bag of pot

Danny: Who would do that?

Serena: I don’t know, either way I’m getting out of here soon and I will find out who did this to me

Danny: Probably someone with a vendetta against your Dad

Serena: How are things with you?

Danny: Good actually, I got a call, Alexis is alive

Serena: WHAT?!

Danny: And she’s here in America

Serena: See, I bet you’re glad you stayed

Danny: Yeah, I am

Serena: So you’re going to meet her?

Danny: The private investigator is meeting me at some deserted warehouse, he likes his dramatic places

Serena: Good luck, Danny

Danny: You too

[Serena hangs up. Danny is in the flat. He takes a photograph out of a drawer. It’s him and Alexis. He smiles and exits his flat. We cut to the back of a deserted warehouse. It’s a huge open field with no grass. A dust bowl with nothing around. Danny is stood waiting when two cars pull up with blacked out windows. His private investigator steps out]

Danny: Is she in that car

Private Investigator: No, Danny, I'm sorry

Danny: What?

[The other car’s engine begins grind]

Private Investigator: RUN, DANNY!

[A gunshot is heard and the car speeds after Danny who runs like hell. The car tails him around and sways side to side as Danny runs to the investigator’s car. He starts the engine but it won’t turn. The car hurdles towards him but he speeds off before it can hit him]

Danny: What the hell

[The two cards spin, there is dust blowing everywhere and Danny spins out of control. With a crunch the other car rams into Danny and his car flips over onto its roof. Cut to a bloodied Danny on the floor. There are two feet in front of him. He looks up at a gun. He looks up further]

Ed: Hello, Danny boy

Danny: Ed?

Ed: That’s right, now get up

[Ed grabs Danny and throws him into his car. It’s huge inside like a Limo with seats opposite each other. Ed glares at Danny]

Danny: What the hell?

Ed: Did you really think I’d let you get away with what you’ve done?

Danny: What I’ve done?

Ed: You’ve taken EVERYTHING away from me

Danny: Like what, Ed?

Ed: My sister, Serena...

Danny: Serena wasn’t yours and your sister is a PSYCHO

Ed: SHE WAS FINE UNTIL SHE MET YOU. I WAS FINE BEFORE I MET YOU. AND GUESS WHAT, ME AND SERENA WERE FINE

Danny: Well clearly not if she was willing to jump into the arms of a gay guy

[Ed slaps him]

Ed: You came along and ruined everything

Danny: I ruined nothing, you just hated the fact that you weren’t what she wanted

Ed: My sister took the blame for shooting you when she never

Danny: That has nothing to do with me

Ed: She LOVED you, Danny, she loved you and you threw it in her face. You ignored her, treated her like a fool

Danny: I didn’t even know

Ed: She cried over you, I watched her cry

Danny: SHE’S CRAZY

[Ed waves his gun angrily]

Ed: STOP SAYING THAT

Danny: THIS is crazy Ed. The secret meet up, the gun, the limo... I mean come on this isn’t some soap opera!

Ed: This is me giving you what you really deserve

Danny: What I deserve? What I deserve is a quiet life without crazy people surrounding me. I mean, god, am I some sort of magnet and what is with the guns?! How is everyone just able to get them

Ed: I get what I want

Danny: Now see, that’s the real problem isn’t it? You rich kids are all the same. You hate not getting your own way. Serena didn’t want you and your sister couldn’t even talk to you!

Ed: She talked plenty

Danny: Then why didn’t you help her? Is that really why we’re here? You’re not mad at me, you’re mad at yourself for failing her

[Ed whips Danny with the gun and throws him out the car. He steps out as Danny gets to his feet]

Danny: You failed your sister when she needed you. You failed Serena too

Ed: I failed nobody

Danny: Poor little Ed, never there and always dumped

Ed: SHUT UP

Danny: Nobody loves you, Ed. Are you even human? I look into your eyes and they’re dead

Ed: I could have loved her

Danny: You aren’t capable of love

[Ed drives the gun into Danny’s head]

Danny: Go on, shoot me. It’s about time one of you lot went through with it

Ed: I will

Danny: Then do it. But it won’t release the pain. I’m not the problem here,
Ed, YOU ARE. It’s YOU. So go on, shoot me if it makes you feel better

Ed: I WILL DO IT

Danny: THEN DO IT YOU COWARD

[Gunshot]

This 5th series is definatly last because Danny isn't really a teenager anymore. Will have 10 episodes.

But will Danny remain as main character?

Probably, Ed's crazy but he's not a killer. If he did kill him, then he'll drive himself to insanity through all the guilt. Kapow. 5th series being last is pretty cool.. You should make something with a similiar concept, something which relates to society right now.

Yeah after this I am doing something a bit new. No crazy storylines and things that happen to teens these days... teenage lives to me is a bit experimental. I had always planned to chop it and change it and make it a bit 'out there'.

And yes I love cliff hangers.
