Trying to avoid spoilers lol. From the people who've done both, the book and the film, is the book really that good that I should read it rather than seeing the film? Or at least read it before I see the film?

Usually when I've read a book, the movie is never as good for me.

If I were you I'd go and watch the movie first, then read the book.

It's not a sequal, it just has the same character (Robert Langdon), I read the book and went to see the movie, and that is a perfect example of how the book is always better than the movie!!

The Da Vinci Code was utter garbage. And Tom Hanks himself isn't too high on this new film.

I agree. Imo it was driven by the plot and that stupid relationship between Tom Hanks and that spainish/italian/w/e chick was just crobarred into it.

I went to see it yesterday and I thought it was pretty good.
I havent saw or read The Da Vinci Code (and I haven't read Angels and Demons) but after seeing the film, Im planning on reading the book.

My friend thought it was good too but he felt that quite a lot from the book had been missed out (but somewhat expected that it wouldn't be the exact same)
