I agree with what pretty much everyone else has been saying. After all, boys come and go but friends are forever. I definitely wouldn't jeopardize your friendship over some guy (because she will DEFINITELY be mad if you start dating her ex, especially if its so soon after). And also the fact that you're not sure if he likes you makes it even more definite that you shouldn't go after him.

If you still like him in a month or so, maybe then you can try telling your friend that you kinda like him and ask if its alright if you go after him. She'll be more okay with it if you do it like that than if you try to date him right after they break up. Especially if you don't tell her about it before you go after him, and she finds out from someone else.
