Moderators will be picked on merit alone and not popularity. If they meet the criteria laid out in the announcement and their application excites Matt and I enough, they are in with a chance of getting selected

This isn't CHF, people who deserve the position will get the position regardless of their popularity. I assume they will firstly eliminate all the candidates who don't meet the criteria and then pick who they believe is best suited to the position. Originally Posted by Samsta.
