    Default World War II Films

Atm I've got quite a craving for World War II movies, I just think they're some of the best and there's certainly a good range of them.

Currently in my collections I've got:
    Saving Private Ryan
    Schlinder's List
    Pearl Harbour
    Battle of Britain
    Das Boot
    Stalingrad
    The Great Escape
The Bridge on the River Kwai
    The boy in striped pyjamas

So then, any suggestions on good World War II movies to see?

+rep if I can to good suggestions.

Flags of Our Fathers and Letters From Iwo Jima. Both are directed by Clint Eastwood and both are absolutely amazing. The Pianist is also another must see.

Americans were cerdit hogs off WW2, more Aussies and Brits died (in ratio) than yanks. And how bout the maltese? man, thats a tiny little island next to italy and they held off against almost the rest of Europe, they were the most bombed place in all of World War Two. In fact, Malta would get bombed more in one day than the US through-out the whole war, that includes Pearl Harbour, which was *****. Dawin (which is a civilian town not an air base) got bombed more in than pearl Harbour. And The US actually made foreign countries such as the UK pay money for their support.

Yeah! It was ******** how the Queen wasn't invited to the D-Day commemoration in France last week. Hey, lets not bother inviting someone who actually experienced D-Day and now represents all of the UK, lets invite Gordon instead. Everyone loves him. They proper tossed us to the back then. They do indeed get way too much credit.

Heartily agree with the two posters above^^, although apparantly a lot of French people are embarrassed by Sarkozy snubbing the Queen so it aint just us.

    To name a few more;
    The Big Red One
    The English Patient
    something.
