Is CMD blocked? Batch scripts? Registry editor?

There are numerous ways. You need to be able to edit the registry, whether it be by using a batch script, cmd, registry editor, VB, a VB.NET Macro (through Word, Excel, etc)

I can get to cmd, well I could until they moved be back to a standard user, but I can get on someone else's so it doesn't matter... Most of the commands on cmd are blocked to, which fails. I guess the way forward would be a VB.NET macro then?

If your school has FF then you can download a plugin or two that will let you bypass some stuff. Most schools don't realise how much you can actually do with FF plug-ins... Even if they block access to the proxy settings inbuilt in to Firefox you can still use this...

Edit: You could use Linux boot disc to edit some windows settings....

Don't have firefox, can't install it.
I wouldn't have time to boot Linux either and most the computers don't even have disc drives.

To run exe's at school I zip it up and then unzip to C:\Documents and Settings\username\Desktop (as folder Desktop is disabled :rolleyes because pasting to the desktop has been disallowed. Easy & it works. Ran portable chrome, but it wouldn't connect to the internet, so yea, ill try ultrasurf. thanks.
