Just don't go to it. The only detentions I used to go to was when the teacher collected you.

In my school if you don't go to after-school, they'll give it to you again but for longer then if you don't go to that you'll either get excluded or go to inclusion room. If you don't go to inclusion and walk off when teacher comes to collect you, they'll just come on to you everyday until you go to it.
