    I don't really think £20 is a ridiculous amount for an old/used phone, that has less networking functionality than what you can pickup for about £5 brand new. If people will pay more sure, but tbh the first gen iphone is to limited for me to use everyday so would just be a toy / something to play around developing on.

    Aside from contract base phone price for the iphone 3g is slighty less than offers here

    The first gen iPhone didn't cost much more than £75 brand new and you could get it without a contract too, considering its over 2 years old I dont think the offers are that bad.

    These places just sell the phone on themselves, them giving you that much for it is a good indication you could probably sell it for £50-£100 more. FYI, a 2G iPhone 8GB sells for around £150-£250.
