Republican Party

This is just to inform about the Republican Party, Not to offend.

The Republican party currently has become quite fanatic,
I say this because when you look on T.V. you see a fanatic women saying Obama's not american and she's pure American. It's quite disturbing to even see this, not all that long ago another women said that Obama was a terrorist. Once again quite sad to even hear this on TV. Even though none of these things are true people still follow the republican party because of Paranoia mainly cause by 9/11. I'm quite sure that these republicans also believe we invaded Iraq because there were nuclear weapon's which was false, The republican party actually voted on war because they could secure Oil in the middle east. In reality the Taliban were and still are the major threat. Currently the Taliban is taking control of pakistan WHICH ACTUALLY DOES HAVE NUCLEAR WEAPONS! Yet this country remains untouched by the U.S. Another thing contributing to this republican fanatic like group of people is figures like Sarah Palin and Rush Limbaugh who use trashing rumors on Democrats, and then when they are given harsh comments or rumors they wig out. For instance when David Lettermen gave Sarah Palin a harsh joke she responded in great anger, even though as a political figure you need the be able to handle comments and rumors without making angry comebacks. Recently Sarah Palin resigned as governer, no doubt she'll be running in 2012. It scares me that there's even a party with such bold actions and views, so before supporting the republican party make sure you know more about the canidates and there policies instead of just basing it off their public image.

You can discuss any arguements you may have to this or agreements.

The Republican Party often sticks up for American values more so than the Democrat Party. One of the United States' best Presidents, if not the best, Ronald Reagan was a Republican. We all know the invasion of Iraq was a lie and Iraq posed no threat to the west, but that was the doctrine of the Bush era, bully smaller countrys which we knew we could beat. Iran has a large army, similar to what Iraq had in the 1990's hence why we never went into Iraq after Kuwait was taken back even though they had the chance to them.

The only thing I care about (and I don't even care about this that much) is gay rights. I think I'm lucky to come from a country where all three major political parties are supportive of the gay community. The Republican Party, in my opinion, is gay (the bad type of gay). Other than that I think everythings just peachy.

while i'll hold my laughter at the notion of ronald reagan being one of the best presidents, abraham lincoln (who most argue is the definitive president) was a republican.

i dont think either party has more loyalty to the united states. while democrats might complain about the country a lot, many republicans have more party loyalty than they do country loyalty. for instance, rush limbaugh, a famous republican/conservative radio pundit, said recently that he hopes barrack obama fails as a president. in other words, he hopes the country goes down the toilet just for spite. which is absurd.

and honestly this has been going on for years, republicans havent changed much. if anything you should be happy, democrats control all the branches of government right now. the republicans haven't been doing this poorly since after watergate. there are always going to be weirdos who think barrack obama isnt a citizen, as if it matters anyway, but the good thing is that most people know these people are crazy.

America has alot to learn about basic ethics and morals - there's still a horrific number of Americans who only believe in themselves rather than others in and out of America. Take that Anti-gay church, they're seriously mucked up and spread a false idealogy of what they call God and the Bible (basically, they're own ideas can be turned against them and they'll still falsify it). Quite alot of them are anti-black and just generally racist. As RedStratocas said, both parties aren't all that great - same with every blooming political party and politics in general

Ronald Reagan along with Margaret Thatcher helped finish off communism & socialism which had been on its knees from the very start of its existance;- thats why I think he was the best President the United States has ever had, along with strengthing the link between the United Kingdom and United States and helping the west (at that time) retain its moral standards against the Soviet Union and the east, in the 1970s it came so very close to the United Kingdom becoming a Soviet satelitte state and who knows how history would of played out then.

As for 'hope he fails', well it depends whether or not they agree with Obamas policies. I hope certain Labour policies fail because I disagree with them and think things could become worse if they suceeded, although I understand your point that there are a lot of the neo conservative nut cases floating about at the moment such as Donald Rumsfeld. At the moment i'm pro-Obama, he doesn't seem to be doing anything I disagree with but the thing worrying me about the United States at the moment is debt levels, especially with China on the rise.

I'd agree with this, every American I've met is overly patriotic and egocentric. They always find it shocking to know how much non-Americans hate them.

And this national healthcare will just increase our debt even more, along with social security being the world's most failing program, and the spending from Medicare Plan D (Bush Era).
