    Default Trip to mars

Anybody think that the race to mars is actually going to be successful? Or atleast by the expected date?
    If you do
Who do you think's going to win?

It's not exactly a race at the moment and I wonder if it ever will be.

For now NASA wants to continue pissing around on the moon which will take it to around 2020, it intends on putting people on Mars by 2038. Theoretically if the USA wanted to dedicate similar money and effort like they did for the moon landings they could get to Mars by 2016 but there's little chance of that happening.

ESA reckons it'll get there around 2030 but their experience in space is particularly limited and NASA is way ahead of them in terms of developing transport to reach Mars.

Russia hasn't said much about it really, they're always looking into long-term space missions on Mars and running simulations of Mars missions. They would probably work with the Chinese or maybe ESA for a manned mission to Mars.

Well i've read that NASA and the chinese are racing. NASA expect to be there at 2030. China are slightly behind them. As for ESA, pah! We british don't lend them much dollah because they suck.
    Let's start GBSA!!!!

My folks grew up there, but they thought that the pollution really let down the strong community it had. So they jumped off and hoped to god that they landed on earth.
