Well you need a converter, however HDMI > VGA converters are very expensive and cost around £60.

This will work however, HDMI > DVI converter, about £5-10 and then a DVI > VGA converter, about £5.

Make sure you get all the female/male conversions right and I'm not sure on how the quality will be at the end but it'd surely work

Maplins is a rip off for converters so it's very expensive, Amazon or eBay would be much better.

    http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=97886
    http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=97442 (DVI Male, VGA Female)

You'll also need a standard VGA cable but I assume you have one as it should of came with the monitor.

hdmi > vga seem pretty cheap on ebay, a few under £10.
