Default Microsoft & Yahoo search deal

Looks like they've done it after all, didn't see this one coming.

Yahoo has been struggling to make profits in recent years.
But it rebuffed several takeover bids from Microsoft in an attempt to go it alone.
"This agreement comes with boatloads of value for Yahoo, our users, and the industry. And I believe it establishes the foundation for a new era of internet innovation and development," said Yahoo chief executive Carol Bartz.
The deal became possible after Yahoo's co-founder Jerry Yang stepped down as chief executive of the company.

It'll never happen, Bing is a failure so I don't see what they hope to achieve with this.

That is quite good news. One question how do you all know Bing is a failure? I bet millions of people use it over Google at this moment in time and by Microsoft overtaking Yahoo this will be yet another leap for Bing/Microsoft and possibly Yahoo to prove themselves.
Never argue with an idiot, he'll drag you down to his level, and beat you with experience.

Microsoft were so desperate they paid people to use there search. They know it wouldn't of worked. Now they show their weaknesses by partnering up. 2v1.

I never use nothing other than Google.

Bing isn't a failure, because the people silly enough to use IE are probably using Bing.

I've always used Google... I'm just wondering what this new search engine will be called and what it will be like. But what's the need to have a war of the search engines? Nothing. People use whatever search engine they want, other companies don't have to have a war against them to get people to use it...
