I knew you would say that. But I don't think so. As I said, it doesn't interest me. If I force myself to watch it I'll only end up hating it more.
If it was boring I'm sure you wouldn't have continued watching it. There are a fair few series that start off good but get a lot better as they progress. Trigun and Utawarerumono for example. The first episodes are good, but the last episodes are ten times better. I'm sure that's what One Piece is like, right? I'm sure Full Metal Alchemist does pick up later on, but the first episodes were nothing less than rubbish in my opinion and they showed no sign of ending any time soon when I dropped it so it doesn't matter if it does. I know I won't like it as an overall piece.
Well from my point of view I don't think a series can make up for the bad parts. Claymore almost does it, but the ending is undoubtedly crap, which brings the overall rating of the series down. Same with Soul Eater. If a series has a bad part, it isn't going to go away. A series can't make up for itself in my opinion.
Negative? That's a first.I'm think I'm more neutral, neither negative nor positive. There are a few series that I know deep down are unbelievably mediocre yet I love them. Da Capo being the main example. But I do dislike a lot of popular series as well... Full Metal Alchemist, Clannad, Soul Eater, Code Geass, Kenshin, Kara no Kyoukai, etc.
