Default Seeing as I can't post in feedback

Why is that thread needed at the top? Sports forum is fine even with arguments that cross 'the line'. Everyone knows that it's nothing personal and it's just football, and it's all about opinions.
We've only had 1thread closed in ages and some mods just trying to throw his weight around by creating that thread. My opinion thanks.

It's not acceptable for arguements to occur as it results in people getting mad & breaking the rules by insulting eachother or something.

It's not hard for people to stick to friendly banter just some people push it that little bit too far thus giving the forum an unpleasent atmosphere.

Yes it is, it's perfectly normal for people to argue. So one thread being closed because of some small little argument results in a sticky reminding us of the rules? It wasn't even an unpleasant atmosphere.

It's not just one thread though Adam is it? It's multiple threads - look at the brawl in The Ashes thread for instance.

Some people who don't usually break rules are being dragged into arguements & recieving warnings, therefore the thread is just simply a reminder to try and avoid arguements.

You say the forum is over-moderated well it's a thread like that that's trying to prevent people from getting infractions :S

We don't mind banter about which team is better or whatever but when it turns to "you are an idiot for thinking so and so player is good" it's gone too far.

I've expressed how I feel about arguments being against the rules on a previous thread. All I have to say is it's going to get really unattractive and drive members away if they find out that the rules are as strict as not being able to argue?? I dont see why people find arguing so negative, it's perfectly normal. I argue with my friends all the time, a lot of people do, it's just basically expressing how you feel, and understanding both points of the argument. Fair enough aggressive arguments shouldn't be allowed, but I don't think arguments should be against the rules on this Forum, there should be a clear line, and if you cross it then I guess you're too stupid to know when it's gone too far.

It's pissing sports. If we can't have banter then you're removing one of the key aspects of the game. It's a joke, the only thing the moderators on here probably know about football is "it involves kicking stuffs". They know nowt about the fans and the banter (which the staff on here are calling arguments) which is wrong. I got warned about my Arsenal fans thread, come on. Even Adam knows it's a pissing joke.

That's my point lBlue on how sometimes the MODs are too serious for their own good on this Forum. Which is why I moved to Hababble for like 3 months.

Other than that though this forum is rly good

    2threads, not multiple

If people feel passionate about their posts they should be allowed to argue to prove their point.

    It won't make a difference.
