Default K, what should I do.

Well, basicly my xbox360 totally wrecked my l4d disk. I've had it like 5 weeks now and yesterday I put it in to play and the xbox started making a lound noise. Being me I turned it off right away and removed the disk, to my horror it was covered in scratches. So what should I do, waste another £40 on the game again? Take it to gamestation or w.e and get them to use that disk cleaning thing or w.e it does? What do you think?
Sounds like someone wants to get.... funky.

Try and get it resurfaced at gamestation first, worth a shot.

Whack your Xbox. Mine was making a whirring sound, so I whacked it and it stopped. But it's your Xbox scratching your discs, so ring up Microsoft and have them replace it//repair it

It was only that one game? :S I played other games after that and they are just fine. It has been the only occasion it's happened.

MS only replace games they've published, plus they still charge you £10 or £15 for it. Just try Game/Gamestation and if it still doesn't work you'll have to buy a new disk.

do you have a friend with the game? borrow their copy and install the game to the harddrive and try after that.
the same thing happened to my Gears 2 disk, it's got a crack going from the inside, but i installed the game from a friend's disk and it works fine now. even loads up a little bit quicker ;D

Xbox doesn't just randomly scratch discs, you must of dropped your Xbox while the disc was in the drive and the Xbox turnt on, dus scratching the disc.
That's why we seize the moment, try to freeze it and own it, squeeze it and hold it cause we consider these minutes golden.

Wouldn't advise that personally. Having not installed any games, provided it doesn't spin the disc then by all means go for it.

If it does however I wouldn't 'cause it can split the disc and basically shred the insides of your xbox.
    Doubt everything, even this.
