    Default iTunes 9 is out.

Most people should already know, but if you don't it was out about 15 minutes ago. Here is the direct link (may not work) and also the link to the page. You don't have to enter your email to donwload, just click the download you need and then click download. Regards, Tom.

Edit: Download is going at lightning fast speeds, hooray for Apple!

It seems as if they force released it, perhaps a pointless feature or two. It's only so they can release iTunes 9 on 9/9/9/

I think iTunes 7 was still out a year ago :/

It's only been 7 months since iTunes 8.

Features? Nice new interface. Wishlists. New Store interface. MUCH BETTER SYNCING AT LAST. And a few bug fixes here and there. Oh; also; sharing with other macs.

Still looks like complete ass on Windows. Still takes 50 years to load (See: more than 1 second.)

Definitely an application to avoid on Windows until it gets an aero style theme or if you have an iPod/iPhone.

Although it takes a while to load up I've found it much better. My Movie and Podcats folders load instantly now, it used to freeze up and take a little while.

To be fair I don't think they've really added anything of value to iTunes but it is an improvement.

Is it slower than before or just the same?

The interface looks slightly modified on my iMac. Other than that I haven't noticed anything else. I assume they've blocked syncing with a Palm Pre. Again.
I'm not crazy, ask my toaster.
