    ....could now become a reality.

I've been accepted for an Argos card, so may just get it and pay in installments

OH GOD DONT. When you pay in installments, over time you're paying more than you actually would for a one-off payment, unless it states otherwise that you don't get charged interest when you do that (which would be simply... unique in a company).

    Yes very true mate.

    I've already looked into this.

From the looks of things if I pay on time every month (which I would be able to do) it isn't really gonna cost me much more.

Up to 59 days interest free when you pay off your balance in full every month by the due date.

Surely that would mean I pay no more?

That'd mean that you get a little less off it, like if you paid more than you were supposed to each month then you'd be saving the money completely. However since I doubt you'll be able to pay for it all in the space of 2 months, you will get charged interest... Depends how long you take really, but you'd save a tiny bit on that.

Plus I don't think I'd be able to do it straight away, as I doubt they would give me a £1000 limit to start with.

i was gonna pay instalments from apple themselves, until i realised it would have cost me like £400 more than it would to just buy it straight away, so all i'm sayin is be careful.
