Yes, it has been confirmed as a private only Beta between people from Activision and Infinty Ward.

Also, the Perk "Bling" isn't duel wielding SMG's, its two attatchments on one gun

Just a note, it's not just infinity ward and Activision staff doing it - Mapmonkeys(Pro glitchers) and The selected few normal people are doing it.

One thing I have to say is IW did a good job. They didn't just make MW2 like COD4 but with new maps and a patch. It looks totally different and better.

Can have shotguns as side arm aswell . And that thing that you throw to choose where you spawn will be good for dom.

is there anymore news on a public beta?

i've seen his post on fourzerotwo and have seen a few videos on youtube which I'm guessing are selected testers, but has anything else been released.

Nope, only IW/Activision and a couple of other groups/companies will have access to the beta.

there wasn't many glitches in cod4 that gained much advantage. atleast it won't have the "roundhouse" phase where you just didn't want to play in the end, knowing someone would be under the map.#

edit: just read it again, I doubt there will be. like they've said, they have taken the game apart and rebuilt the one they wanted so it's not going to be any normal call of duty.

Nope no public beta. Which i think is better, so you get mor3e excited as they days pass.
