Why is it "professional" to not celebrate? If I scored a premiership goal I'd be rather happy methinks, not celebrating makes you look like a pompous **** more than anything

I'm part of a local team thanks, just because I don't post here and don't follow other teams doesn't mean I don't know the game. I respect everyone I come up against (excepting the one team in the league who literally go out for blood) but scoring is still a cause for celebration and self congratulation. There's no lack of respect shown by being happy about yourself doing well
