Code Geass, Strike Witches, ANOTHER Major series... urgh. A Gintama movie was bound to show up sooner or later, but I refuse to believe the series will end. Also, Ryuzaki, theres a Gintama thread.

Getting Jun Senoue's new cd signed by him from him ^^ not bad for £21 just need to wait another Month for him to release the Crush40 Album. Really wished Sonic X carried on i liked the japanese version. Had kageyama singing the opening. lol.

Essentially it should be for general discussion that doesn't fit anywhere else. If you would have posted in the other thread, it would have bumped it to the top (so people would have seen it) and I would have replied regardless. We've got a whole anime section, so we should use it.

The Gintama thread is no different, it takes the same amount of time to make a post in that thread as it does in this thread.

Anyway in a completely unrelated topic - I temporarily hate Manga Entertainment again seeing as how they're releasing Evangelion 1.11 for blu-ray while people who still buy DVDs have no choice but to get 1.01. I want that extra footage! It's a collaboration release with Funimation as well... I'm disappointed.

And see manga are evil. and apparently the Blu ray is a diffrent Blu ray master or something from the US one. and is not as good. no idea where i read tht tho.

It has Funimation's logo all over it, they must be involved somehow seeing as how they usually have nothing to do with anime distribution in Europe. Funimation have probably started licensing anime worldwide and are selling distribution rights to companies in different countries. Those punks, they think they own the world! Can't UK companies license anime anymore!? Anyway, hopefully it's an error on Play.com's side as they're the ones who listed Evangelion on their website in that way. I don't understand why they wouldn't release 1.11 on DVD - a format 99% of the world still buys. It's just plain stupid. Play.com better just be misinformed!

Funi owns the anime market in the west.

And the reason Funi's logo is because companys use there dub. well they eithe rpay to use there dub or funi get rights all of the place and re-sell them.

And if i recall.. The blu ray master was lower quality to the us version. i will have a little look to see if i can find the source.

Companies don't sell their dubs, they sell distribution rights, which is what Funimation must be doing.
