Feedback on Moderation

First things first, this is feedback, not a complaint.

I just wanted to give my feedback on the Moderation Department. I don't think what I have to say is the fault of all the Staff, just the few individuals.

Basically, I have received numerous infractions for being racist. Perhaps some of them would be classed as racist in today's society even though they are not. Them infractions however are not the ones I am talking about. It's the ones that aren't actually racist? They are so un-racist that I would quite happily say what I said face to face with another foreigner. I'll leave it at that or you will tell me to complain about infractions in another thread...

So what I now have reasons to believe is that there are foreigners of a indian/pakistani nationality working in the Moderation Department and they cannot stand to see anything that's true said about their nationality.

I mean, why else would a Moderator feel the need to remove a post such as this if they are not indian/pakistani?

All I said was that post box lady outfits scare the hell out of me and that it really isn't needed. I also said that it should be banned (which numerous people actually agreed with me on) and if they don't like the ban then they know where to go (home).

So the overall message of feedback in this post is that you need to relax a bit when it comes to deciding whether a post is or isn't racist. And as far as the infraction is concerned, I will be appealing that when I get round to it.

Yeah i agree with the racism one, i got one for saying Danyl from X Factor looks like a monkey.. i didn't call him it because he was black, i called him it because he looked like one. I dont call the other Black people on the show monkeys because they dont look like them

Why do police officers who are white arrest and convict white racist people. Because it's against the law. Here it's against the rules.

I am not of any origin that you described, however I would not like to seem racism towards me on the forum so anyone who is of that origin on the forum would not like to see racism against them. Racism isn't just aimed at people, it's any comment that degrades a race, yours in that post, did.

I don't think the banning of burkas is racist as many countries, and also places in England, have actively taken it upon themselves to ban the burka. I think calling them "post box lady outfits", whilst quite descriptive, can be deemed insensitive. And also there is the fact that you did say "if they don't like it they can go home" which of course, in my opinion, crossed the line of banter into racism.

I think saying 'if they dont like it they can go home' isnt racist, its a point of view. I know i know, all of what the BNP come out with is opinion too, but they wouldnt say 'if they dont like it', they say 'go home'

Thats true, but as I've said in another post somewhere, its making an assumption that all muslims who dont like it weren't born or bred in this country. Most of the Muslims I know were born and bred in this country so theres a difference in saying "go home" which would literally be down the road (which would accomplish nothing) than intending it to mean go back to your "home" country, or what is assumed to be their home country based on the colour of their skin. Or something. And I think thats where the moderator found fault with the post, as thats how I would have taken it if I read it.

I know you didn't say this bit was racist but if they were the same colour as me and had the same religion as me I would still call them post box ladies which is why that wasn't racist. I think just because they are from another country (the race of their skin is irrelevant) it isn't racist to say that they can go such a place if they don't like it.

Yeah but thats like saying even if Jin liked laggings he would still call him an idiot so therefore it isnt rude. Or like saying that I can call someone a paki just because if they were the same religion as me I would still call them it.

I'm sure you wouldn't as you'd understand the importance of Burkas in their religion and wouldn't degrade them.
