Wasn't a bad song until I heard it for the 1 millionth time either.
I think some of Green Day's albums are pretty good for that though and virtually all of the RHCP's songs have meaning (L). The Killers' Hot Fuss is a story as well.

its about a guy who wants to meet/talk to his idol so he sends him letters and stuff, ends up not getting a reply and commits suicide, then the idol replies but realises the guy who he is replying to committed suicide.
