Every little helps. If a guestbook has something crazy like 50k comments and 100 people load the page, that'll cause a larger strain on the server than limiting the script to counting 1000 comments maximum.

aw poor people that used to spam their guestbook to like 10000 mssgs Maybe it should say > 1000, > 2000, >3000 etc or have some kind of milestone
