Even though they're both away, the site and everything seems to be ticking over alright. Most things can be done without them here really, they're just there to supervise (in my eyes anyway). If anything does crop up that can't be sorted out by department managers, instead of going to the appropriate AGM then we would just go to Jin instead. This post further discredits the need for them. They are not needed = title should be removed, at least for a temporary measure :/ All benefits and use of those title and their jobs have been removed, all they have is a physical title that makes them stand out - hardly useful. Like giving someone the title of co-manager, when the manager or anyone lower down on the hierarchy can do the jobs without them - their jobs and services are discredited and useless, which you can see just by looking at the forum. Without them, nothing will change, especially when they are away for personal issues. You can't get in contact with them so they serve no purpose.

So why are they still in these jobs, when they're clearly unfit to do them at this point in time? They're clearly unwanted, otherwise the forum would be in chaos :/

Did you even read his post :rolleyes:? He said that he knows Rosie is ill but it's still silly as there isn't any stand in AGM to replace her meanwhile which isn't rediculous, it's a perfectly good statement. He was right to use Rosie as an example as she has been away and there hasn't been a real stand in for her...

We need an Acting AGM for community, whilst Rosie is ill, and tbh Osh has always been pretty inactive but this is ridiculous, surly he has a mobile phone or a friends computer to just update us on the situation?

In actual fact I have been known to be Rosie's least favourite supporter (probably because all my infractions at one point seemed to be from her

). However I know how easy it was to talk to her and whether she infracted me a lot or not, she was better than some other idiot we had no so long ago (not naming HIS name

)

Mr.OSH started showing an interest in the News Department while I was there, well... he asked for mine and Lana's addys but he couldn't get in touch with her and that was the last I heard from him really. So unless he had been away before this, then he hasn't been away for as along as some people are suggesting.

Still, I would agree both himself and Catzsy require stand-ins for the time being. The question is, who? I can't think of anyone eligible other than Oli and Robbie or any other SMODS I have forgotten (don't hurt me sorry!)? Then again, Catzsy moved out of the SMOD job when she took up her new role so the workload of SMOD as well as AGM may be too much?

edit @Demala: As Rosie said to me herself, there are no "good books" with them. The amount of infractions etc won't effect how much she likes you... even if she does take everything personally

further edit: How busy do Yoshi and Brandon get? If they're not as busy as SMODS maybe they would be suitable?

Doesn't have to be a Super mod, does it? There's Jess and Roxy that have been community-based department managers for a long time now so they'd have a general idea what to do. Or non-staff members could include flyingjesus (not saying he'd want to. maybe he's busy... but he was community manager (whatever that department was!

) for a while so he has experience too) etc. Just saying it shouldn't be limited to super mods, not saying they're bad but that doesn't mean they're the best!

Nope, Rosie was Community Support Manager. I think that Hitman,Smiddy, lAscend, FlyingJesus and myself were the only staff members in the department but it didn't last too long. (Pardon me if I missed someone out).

If she left by illness, an acting manager would definitely apply for community AGM as well! Despite this, I was really just reply to sergio's Smod post. Personally, I think the community departments have managed fine in Catszy's absence and that a temporary manager isn't much needed. As someone else said, they're mostly just 'supervisors' but we don't need watching all the time... honest... :eusa_whis
