Win7 over OEM install

If I install windows 7 on top of a Windows Vista OEM install would it then be impossible to reinstall via the recovery partition?

If the recovery partition is still there then it won't make any difference.

My recovery partition wont go 'Arghghghg I'm in a new computer, nullify!' ?

I'm 99% sure it won't. It didn't on my old Acer laptop. (but that was XP over XP though)
