Whats the best 50inch you can get for 1,200 poundish, maybe pushing to 1300.
Preferably quite slim, LCD cus i dont like plasma.

Online retailer or High Street Retailer?
Never argue with an idiot, he'll drag you down to his level, and beat you with experience.

You can get a 42" pretty cheap (400ish) here; http://www.ebuyer.com/product/166541
But as for a 50" tv, i cant really suggest any as my usual haunts don't seem to be stocking them at the moment (possibly sold out due to Christmas)

There's too many to say, but maybe try here? There's alot of different LCD TV's you may like.

    Hope this helps.

I also recommend the Bravia range, they look very slick and have a nice interface. I think some of the newer ones also have some extra features which are pretty cool.

Although all of the 50" Bravias are out of your price range. But there are a couple of 46" ones in range.

The best screen size I can get is:

    or
    http://www.sony.co.uk/product/t46-w-...eType=Overview

The last option is if you are willing to pay a couple more grand more then you can get a beautiful 540p tiny OLED tv...

HD Ready is a loose term, Full HD means 1080p resolution, in this case that "HD Ready" means 1080p.

Technically anything above 540p is HD
