I think it's foolish, your opinion may be that he is cool because it doesn't mean anything to him but there is no logic in deleting something you won. Friends may be more important but that doesn't mean you need to delete something in order to prove that. If they are your friends they will like you regardless but deleting your furni doesn't make your friends like you anymore. Either way it's his and if he wants to delete it I suppose that is his choice.
