In late 2009, Bandai announced a new project greenlit for 2010. It is going to involve the simultaneous release of multiple products. A manga, titled Code Geass: Jet-Black Renya (Kōdo Giasu: Shikkoku No Renya), is the first product announced. It features a seventeen year-old boy named Renya with a mechanical arm who uses shuriken as his weapon of choice. The story begins when he encounters C.C. It is supposed to be set in the Edo period. Director Goro Taniguchi will be scripting the story, which is meant to be another part of the official Code Geass history.[28]
I doubt it. With the exception of Gurren Lagann, manga based on anime tends to be rather crap. Also, urgh they're basing it in the Edo period? What have they done to my favourite setting.

They have one manga series based on the anime. The others are spin-offs on the anime and then I think they have 2 manga's in different time periods.

    NOO One Piece
you'll see it when you read it.

And im considering getting 20th Century Boys I hear its part of a Viz range which actually translates it properly. no crappy edits like One Piece. Changing God to Kami. which would be right if it was japanese but it aint. just looks stupid >.< Not as bad as Zolo tho >.>

Well the antagonist in 20th Century Boys is called Friend but Viz call him 'The Friend' which bugs me a little but its no so bad. The rest of the translation is spot on, no messing around and changing things. However, there is a character who often dreams of the future and because of this the people around him call him God, but the Viz version leaves it as Kami-sama, which as you say is pretty stupid because its not a translation, they're leaving it in Japanese which is beyond the point. Apart from that though everything is perfect. I wish they would just hurry up and release the rest of the volumes.

You should definitely read it as soon as you can though, I promise you won't regret it. The most perfect manga I've ever read I think is Genshiken, but its very closely followed by 20th Century Boys. I'd give every aspect of 20th Century Boys a ten except the characters which I would give a nine, because there is one that annoys me. The main protagonist is one of the best realistic hero characters I've come across though, and the antagonist is definitely one of the most memorable. The story is possibly the most captivating thing I've ever read, which explains why I read all 265 chapters in only two weeks. I just couldn't put it down. Ahh, good times.

By the way, don't watch the live action movies yet. They'll spoil the hell out of you. Don't even watch the trailers, theres major spoilers in the third one that would ruin the entire story.

It isn't the number one manga on MAL for no reason, and if it wasn't any good Japan's most expensive movie trilogy wouldn't be based on it.
