It could do but it wont. Do not worry
If you don't qualify for the Champs league it does because that brings in a lot of money for you. The debt itself won't lead to too much pressure for selling them but like I said, no CL = no Torres. Gerrard might stay but if the offers big then it won't surprise me if he goes. Saying that, where would Torres go. He wouldn't go to Madrid because he played for AM. Barca don't really need another striker because of Ibra, they need a LW. I doubt he'd want to go to Italy or Germany really. That leaves England and City, United and Chelsea because Arsenal won't buy him and Liverpool won't really want to sell him to any of those clubs.
Oh well, we're not signing anyone. Premier League here we come.
.
Even if Gerrard went, I can't imagine him ever playing with the same passion as he does for Liverpool. idc if you think that's rubbish :eusa_hand
Really? I just thought it'd be good to get a Inter-European competitor with UEFA pedigree. Even if it only means more players from Europe will say "well, Kuranyi is there, they can't be that bad."Kuranyi is ****e, not better than Jones imo.
Obviously bull, as if we'd go after Jermain Beckford. Won't cut it in the Prem.
Wait, he wants to stay at Sunderland AND play Champions League football!?
No quotes in the story = no truth.
I am confident we will sign the pair of them, but I'm 99% that they haven't signed yet, as it was said in the summer, www.Safc.com will be the first to announce it.
Absolutely not. Imagine shipping off Jones and signing Beckford. :S
Which is exactly what I thought. Bless him.
I hope we do, even if it's only Figueroa.
It's a vicious circle. No CL = no torres. No torres/gerrard = no CL. Ergo you don't sell either of them unless they push it so hard you don't have any choice. Torres has already said he wouldn't play for RM, nor would he play for any other english club so that really doesn't leave many places for him to go. Not that I think we'd let him be sold to any of the english clubs, it'd be a pretty stupid idea. I don't think it'll happen anyway, they have long contracts the both of them and I think Gerrard will stay no matter what. Torres' passion is yet to be tested but I think he's a good guy, so I don't think he'll be ditching us. David Villa doesn't play CL football right now but you don't see him ditching Valencia asap.If you don't qualify for the Champs league it does because that brings in a lot of money for you. The debt itself won't lead to too much pressure for selling them but like I said, no CL = no Torres. Gerrard might stay but if the offers big then it won't surprise me if he goes. They've already said that Villa will go if they get the right offer, and Valencia haven't had the right offer yet. I'm sure if someone bid £40 Million for him he'd go. Also the reason Torres left for Liverpool is that he wanted CL football and if Liverpool don't make it next season into the CL, I can't see them recovering because City will just grow stronger and stronger and Liverpool without CL football will grow weaker because of less money and no big names wanting to go there.
Saying that, I still recon Liverpool will sneek 4th place.
