I can't say I've had problems with the PS3 messages on screen, it's tiny on both 22" and 37" screens :S

I find it mildly irritating on my 20" 4:3 TV upstairs but its tiny on the 32" HD TV downstairs so yeah I'm not bothered about it on the whole. I don't have many friends anyway so it doesn't come up much

XBL is more annoying tbh, at least the PS3 one doesn't spam you with useless notifications about unable to connect to messenger and other system stuff and then it doesn't just progress to list all of online friends. Also I personally think the XBL one is larger on any screen?
