How to record a live camera

Well im wanting to record my night vision camera, Theres been alot of robberys down my road this week 2 houses been robbed so what would i use to record it, the cables that it needs are red and yellow, its not audio too lol

Get a VCR or DVD recorder that records what I'd being viewed on the tv and hook the camera up to the tv

I was wanting something more like that recorded to hard drive, So maybe 250gb that i can go back to a certain date ect? if you get my drift?

Is there a way i can do it without using a PC, e.g directly onto a hard drive ect?

You could, using a DVR (i think that's what they're called) but they're pretty expensive atm

Easier to just get a capture card for an old PC or somit with a large HDD

How many CCTV camera's can that record at once?
