    Default 6gb and 8gb RAM

Well as many of you know, I am in the process of sending a stick of RAM back as it is dead. Anyway when I originally bought it everyone was like 'you won't see a difference between the RAM if you have 8gb or 6gb'. I will now say you CAN tell a massive difference.
    • Start up is wayy slower.
    • Things don't load quite so fast.
    There is a difference.

I'm no expert but I thought things like that were generally a lot more dependant on the speed of your HDD and processor?

All I can say is that my pc is much slower after removing 2gb. Obviously I may be wrong - if I am than I need to check other parts lol.

What configuration was and now is the RAM in? Are you using DDR2, DDR3 Dual or Triple Channel?

Generally things starting slowly are HDD speeds.
