I shutdown my laptop and it turns itself back on???

I don't know why, or how it's even possible but when I shutdown my laptop using Windows Vista shutdown button or from a shutdown application in the windows sidebar or even by using the shutdown command in cmd. It turns itself back on!?!????????????????????????

The only way to properly shut it down is holding down the on/off button on my toshiba laptop.

I don't know why?? please answers anyone? :S

go into control panel and see if you have any scheduled tasks set.

Well it obvs that its restarting, someone might or a app could have changed the settings around, so when you think you shut down, it restarts

Does it do it every time you try to shut down? My mum's PC starts itself every night on the stroke of midnight and we don't know why lol.

There are a lot of cases of these same stories on the Internet. I couldn't make any sense of then but a simple search and you'll see, maybe you can make sense of things lol

Take it to Pc world or where you bought it from see if they can have a look if its under guarantee
