    I prefer stuff like dance music in clubs etc.

    I think Daft Punk is probably my favourite "techno" band, if they can be considered techno..

    House music is what you'd call daft punk and it's also what you hear in a lot of clubs. That said I also prefer it to 'techno'.

    Ahh right! I like house music but NOT when it's the same beat for 5minutes and 31 seconds and then a few words are sung then another 8 minutes of a crappy beat

    Progressive house is what to look out for then, where it's one beat for a bit then it usually builds to a crescendo and then progesses into a new beat so it doesn't get boring.
