Everyone's free to use their browser of choice for their own reasons. I just think it's great there are now 3-4 really top notch browsers to choose from![]()

Precisely, I don't agree with the ill informed reasoning either but if he doesn't want to use it I'm not going to force it down his throat.
What do you mean fully transparent skin jamsey? The one that's shown in that cnet video or is there another?
I at no point hinted in my previous post that any browser is superior. I am saying that choosing one free browser over another for anything other than performance is stupid.
I'm not crazy, ask my toaster.
In your opinion maybe, but some people have different preferences and reasons as to why they use a product, and if what Opera did towards Microsoft is a reason, then so be it for him :/
Besides, not everyone chooses a browser for performance -
Firefox - Add-ons
IE - Reliable and good for when all else goes wrong.
Chrome - Speed.
Alot of people choose Firefox for add-ons, which isn't down to performance. Add-ons are an additional feature while performance is rated on a general scale (the parts that come with it and everyone can use)
Not forgetting customisation reasons... The list is quite long. Choosing a browser just for performance is quite a poor reason really, unless you're just using the basic browser :/

actually I would class pluging as preformance. Youre thinking page rendering preformance, I meant application preformance. In your opinion maybe, but some people have different preferences and reasons as to why they use a product, and if what Opera did towards Microsoft is a reason, then so be it for him :/

and yes saying youre not going to use opera because they were unjust to microsoft is absurd because microsofthas done much worse and you use windows.

I use Opera Mini 5 beta 2 on my phone and it is brilliant, probably won't use Opera though, I find it hard to move away from Firefox
Like we have said, it's their reason and maybe MS have done worse in the past but they still like Microsoft for their continued good products such as Windows 7 and their other reasons. Since it is their preference on what operating system they use, right? Like he uses Windows and you use OSX. Just the same for browsers!actually I would class pluging as preformance. I must say I love the new way pop-up boxes slide and fade into view. It just seems that bit more slick compared to 10
