I think it's quite a ridiculous suggestion this is related to the real world recession. Obviously, people are less likely to spend their disposable income on things such as credits but this wouldn't effect the market greatly. Besides, the sort of people who have enough money to buy credits for a virtual world are less likely to enter financial trouble and more likely weather the recession quite well.

I recommend you direct your debates to the trading forum, there are multiple threads and various opinions on SOFAGATE. Mostly people telling you to get rid of you're club sofas before they're worthless.

Still is, no confirmation from management. From what I've heard, all the rare values team wants to change to credits (or atleast the ones higher up), yet the general managers here cannot make their mind up and have talking about this for a long while, preventing it progressing.

No, believe me. Whatever management think - it was planned with the new rare values panel (planned at the same time). After being staff in content and RV at the time - it honestly was accepted

All rares are changing at the moment, the Market place has ****** everything up. HC is gonna take a while to rise back I think :@

We may be able to keep the Club sofa as a currency at the moment as we seem to of sorted the problem for the time being, the new panel anyway will include both CS and C and will automatically update if one changes the other. The CS as a currency has been overvalued for far too long, it was a common currency that in some ways became more desired than the actual rares it was supposed to be serving.

The rares market may look a lot more expensive now than it has been, but in reality we're still exactly the same with the only exception being that the power of credits had eroded that of the Club sofa and the Club sofa itself has now lost value. Its like in real life if you have a currency devalued or if it collapses; items will rise but in reality they are worth the same as they were before, just the face value (CS) changes.

The danger is that if we swapped over to credits fully, it could make it even worse.

The club sofas have not dropped or risen. 1 club sofa is still worth 1 club sofa.
Credits have risen after Habbo have introduced many 'comissions fees' which take credits out of the market. These include, the marketplace comissions and the present wrapping prices. Not to mention Habbo credit prices going up. This has caused the credit supply to drop and the demand to rise.

I though it was because people need creds for the market place so when they want them fast they will sell them cheap. We need to use cred values now since HCs are up and down so much. I have seen them going for 5c on friday ! Sucks

Habbo did too many updates to the credits, and now some rares have to suffer.

The HC has gone down in credit price but it is still worth the same as Luke said, no one can really control what values everything go to as habbo is constantly changing and the trend could change instantly.
